Applications are invited from Indian Nationals who fulfill the eligibility criteria detailed below for direct recruitment to 160 tentative vacancies in the grade of Deputy Field Officer (Technical) under Level-7 of the Pay Matrix, Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted. This recruitment is specifically for candidates who possess a valid GATE score in specified subjects.

  • Pay Scale: ₹95,000 per month (approx. including allowances at New Delhi)
  • Location: All India posting, with a liability for transfer across India.
  • Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit:

    • Maximum age: 30 years (as on closing date of application).
    • Relaxations in age will be provided as per Government of India norms for:
      • SC/ST: 5 years
      • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
      • Central Government Employees: As per current guidelines.
      • Ex-Servicemen: As per current guidelines.
  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or a Master’s Degree in Science or any other technical/scientific discipline from a recognized university or institution.
    • Applicants must have a valid GATE score from the 2022, 2023, or 2024 GATE examinations in the following subject areas:
      • Computer Science and Information Technology (Code: CS)
      • Electronics and Communication Engineering (Code: EC)
  • GATE Requirement:

    • Candidates must have appeared in one of the following GATE papers:
      • Computer Science and Information Technology (Code: CS) for vacancies in Computer Science/IT (80 vacancies)
      • Electronics and Communication Engineering (Code: EC) for vacancies in Electronics/Communication (80 vacancies)
    • Selection will be based on the GATE score, so candidates should ensure that their GATE score corresponds to the respective vacancy.
  • Selection Process:

  • Shortlisting:

    • Applications will be arranged in the order of merit based on the valid GATE score for each subject separately.
    • The number of candidates shortlisted for the interview will be 5 times the number of vacancies in each subject.
  • Interview:

    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews at one of the following centers: Chennai, Gurugram, Guwahati, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
    • Candidates can choose their preferred interview center in the application form.
    • The final selection will be based on a combination of the GATE score and interview performance.
  • Verification:

    • Candidates must pass Character & Antecedent Verification and Medical Examination as part of the final recruitment process.

    • Candidates must submit a duly filled application form (typed on A4-size paper in English, using block letters) along with the following documents:
      • Self-attested copies of mark sheets and certificates (Matriculation, 10+2, B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.).
      • Valid GATE scorecard.
      • Caste certificate (if applicable, in Annexure-I or Annexure-II format).
      • NOC from the current employer, if applicable.
      • Discharge certificate and undertaking (for ex-servicemen).
  • Submission Method:

    • The application must be sent by ordinary post to: Post Bag No. 001, Lodhi Road Head Post Office, New Delhi – 110003.
    • The last date for receipt of applications is 21st October 2024.

    • Incomplete applications, or those with unsigned, overwritten entries, or without required documents, will be rejected.
    • The envelope containing the application form should clearly mention the post applied for.
    • Applications from serving government employees should be forwarded through the proper channel.
