For Aircraft Technician (B1/B2):
Non-Ex-Servicemen:
AME Diploma/Certificate: In Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (2-3 years) in Mechanical or Avionics stream from DGCA-approved institutions with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates).
Engineering Diploma: (3 years) in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates).
Ex-Servicemen:
Successful completion of Group I and/or II in relevant trade or equivalent qualification.
Diploma in Engineering in Airframe/Engine trades conducted by Indian Air Force or Navy, acceptable by DGCA for BAMEC examination.
For Trainee Aircraft Technician (B1/B2):
• Non-Ex-Servicemen:
AME Diploma/Certificate: Same as above.
Engineering Diploma: Same as above.
•Ex-Servicemen:
Same as for Aircraft Technician (B1/B2).
•Aircraft Technician:
Minimum one year of aviation experience in Aircraft Maintenance/Overhaul Shops or successful completion of national apprenticeship in the concerned trade.
•Trainee Aircraft Technician:
Candidates with less than one year of experience will be taken as Trainee Technicians for a minimum period of 6 months, after which they may be absorbed as Aircraft Technicians based on performance and company requirements.
