Eligibility:

Educational: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (65% aggregate for UR/EWS/OBC(NCL), 55% for SC/ST/PwBD) M.Sc. in Chemistry for the Chemistry discipline (same % as above). Final year students can apply, but will need to have qualifying marks by the interview.

Age Limit:

Upper limit of 30 years old as of 02/04/2024.

Selection Process:

NALCO will use GATE-2023 exam scores. Only GATE-2023 marks are valid. Candidates must have a valid GATE-2023 score in the relevant discipline. Shortlisting for interviews will be based on GATE-2023 marks and organizational needs. Final selection: 90% weightage to GATE marks and 10% to interview performance.

Compensation:

Training: Rs. 40,000 basic pay during one-year training (no protection of previous pay). Absorption: After training, Assistant Manager (E1 grade) with pay scale of Rs. 60,000 with one additional increment. Benefits: Dearness Allowance, cafeteria-style perquisites, HRA, medical, performance pay, superannuation benefits (PF, Gratuity, etc.)

Placement:

Training and job placement can be at any NALCO location in India or abroad (or subsidiaries). Work may involve shift operations.

Reservations/Relaxations:

As per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD Age relaxations apply. See advertisement for specific certificate requirements

Service Agreement Bond:

Rs. 3 lakhs (or Rs. 4 lakhs for foreign training) on Rs. 1500 non-judicial stamp paper. Minimum service of 4 years after training.
